MORE THAN 20 YEARS OF EMPOWERING STUDENTS

Originally Pacemaker Systems Technology School, Inc., the school was founded by Mark Sweesy in 1987 at the Robert L. Batey Cardiology Center in Bradenton, Florida. Mark recognized the complexity of the evolving technology and identified the opportunity to create an educational institution. Dr. Robert Batey and Dr. Richard Forney helped bring the idea to fruition. The school was incorporated as a non-profit and remains so today. All but one staff were volunteers for the first 10 years. In 1997, the institute was relocated to Greenville, South Carolina and renamed to reflect the broader curriculum and training offered.
